justin + alissa // stablegate farm & vineyard

As a wedding photographer, I am always thinking about how to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. Most people aren't used to being followed around all day with a camera pointed at them. Occasionally, however, you get a couple that are complete naturals in front of the lens. This was the definitely the case with Justin and Alissa. With backgrounds in theater, they have an amazing outgoing energy to them and were a delight to photograph. Their wedding was a beautiful late summer day filled with laughter and tender moments. Stablegate Barn and Vineyard in Castleton, NY provided the perfect setting with an interesting combination of rustic, elegant and colorful scenery. Here are some of our favorite photos from the day.

kayla + carty // saratoga springs

Kayla and Carty are two of the friendliest and fun people you will ever meet. When they asked us to capture their elopement in Saratoga Springs we couldn’t be more excited. On a sunny spring day with flower buds all around we started in Congress Park for the first look and then made our way to the Hall of Springs. Here are some of our favorite moments.

kate + nacho // franklin plaza

It is not often that we see such an amazing example of a couple overcoming great obstacles such as distance, language, and culture to be together. This is why it was so inspiring to be a part of Kate and Nacho's wedding. You could really feel that there was so much that lead up to this day that every moment was truly special. Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding at Franklin Plaza in Troy, NY.

irene + nick // washington park

As we were driving to Irene and Nicholas’ engagement shoot in at Washington Park in downtown Albany it was a rainy and dreary spring day. To our delight the storm clouds parted and the sun came out just in time and we had a great photo session. These two are such a great couple and you can tell they are madly in love from the way they look at each other. We are so excited to be capturing their big day at Greywacke Meadows later this year. Here are some of our favorite shots their engagement session.

ryan + jill // glen sanders mansion

There is something special about a winter wedding that makes the day a little surreal. As Ryan and Jill embraced each other by the frozen river behind the Glen Sanders mansion it was hard not to feel like you were being transported to a magical landscape far up north. These two played no small part in making this day so joyous, elegant and fun. Jill looked stunning in her laced dress which was perfectly complimented with the cool color pallet of her bouquet. Ryan, an outgoing and incredibly funny person to be around, looked sharp and comfortable the whole day in his grey suit. We are so thankful to have been a part of this beautiful event. Special thanks to the amazing Kristen Renee for allowing us to use one of her photos for our video thumbnail.

alaina + marshall // jiminy peak

Jiminy Peak has a special meaning to Alaina and Marshall. Both grew up spending their winters on the slopes there with family, so it was only natural for them to choose this as their wedding venue. We had such a great time getting to know them and capturing this beautiful day. From a stunning ceremony at the top of the mountain to letting loose on the dance floor, here are some of our favorite photos from the day.
